I admire your mission and ambition. I'd like to suggest that if you have obtained a 501(c)3 nonprofit status that you state that with the EIN and list your board members. Additionally, FWIW, I would suggest you contact the most established or recognized agencies that would/could serve as a referral source, i.e., Community Works/Dunn House Domestic Violence Shelter - ARC, etc. By setting up partnerships it will give you additional legitimacy and answer questions about how you will select beneficiaries? Plus, such a publicized partnership could help encourage people to seek shelter/treatment as they have a strong and established voice(s) in the region and they can carry your message of the service you offer, maybe testimonials about the struggle without this option...
